About
A trader on both sides of the chain: close to collectors in West Africa, and to buyers everywhere in the world.
Who we are
What we do, and how we do it.
K.Paulson Company is a trading house founded in 2025. We buy agricultural commodities across West Africa and sell them in bulk, by container, to industrial buyers worldwide.
Our business is that of an intermediary: we connect African producers with buyers in the rest of the world. What sets us apart comes down to two addresses. An operation in Togo, close to collectors and cooperatives, where the quality of a lot is decided. An entity in Germany, close to industrial buyers in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, where the contract and the logistics are decided. The same contact follows the goods from the field to the port of destination.
We do not promise what we cannot deliver. Every lot ships against written specifications, inspected before loading by an independent third party, with the full set of export documents.
The man behind the company
A trader who knows both ends of the chain.

Komi AFANGNIVO
Based in Germany — operating between Africa and the rest of the world
K.Paulson Company grew out of a simple observation: between the African producer and the industrial buyer, someone who genuinely knows both sides is almost always missing.
Komi AFANGNIVO is a specialist in the trading of African agricultural commodities — raw cashew nuts, shea, sesame, soybean, coffee, cocoa and the region's other raw materials. His trade comes down to three things: reading a lot, judging a specification, and knowing what it is worth on a market thousands of kilometres from the field where it was harvested.
Based in Germany, he operates between Africa and the rest of the world. This is where quotations, contracts and the relationship with buyers across Europe, Asia and the Middle East are handled — without ever losing direct contact with the collectors and cooperatives of West Africa, where the quality of a lot is decided.
That dual position is what shapes the way the company works: a single point of contact follows the goods from the field to the port of destination, and puts his name behind what the contract says.
Our method
From collection to container, in five steps. A lot that does not meet the specification does not ship.
Lot identification
We source the goods from collectors and cooperatives across the region, within the current crop campaign.
Quality control
Sampling and analysis: moisture, nut count, defect rate, foreign matter. Values are checked against the contractual specification.
Packing
Packed in bags suited to the product (80 kg jute bags for raw cashew nuts) and prepared for stuffing.
Inspection and fumigation
SGS inspection before shipment, and fumigation by the competent authority of the export country.
Loading and documents
Stuffing into 20 or 40 ft containers, then handover of the full set of export documents.
Our quality commitment
What a buyer receives along with the goods.
In commodity trading, trust is not declared: it is documented. Every shipment comes with the full set of documents, issued by the competent authorities of the export country.
- Bill of Lading: full set (3/3) clean on board, depending on the contract incoterm
- Signed and stamped packing list
- Certificate of origin, issued by the competent authority of the export country
- Phytosanitary certificate, issued by the competent authority of the export country
- Fumigation certificate, issued by the competent authority
- SGS quality certificate of the export country, in one original
